Organized by venture capital fund Bossanova Investimentos, the second edition of the Bossa Summit brought together investors in São Paulo on March 23 and 24.

Fundo Vale attended the summit to learn about innovative businesses and startups on the sustainability and bioeconomy agenda. Among other things, Lucas Ferreira of Fundo Vale’s Innovation Area took part in an investment round with five businesses supported by Brazilian Micro and Small Enterprise Support Service (SEBRAE) programs.

According to him, during the investment round it was possible to meet new entrepreneurs and learn about their digital solutions to improve productivity in the field. “The highlights included a solution for making biodegradable plastic from waste in the açaí production chain and a technological solution for improving seeds and seedlings. They will add value to the bioeconomy product chain and these technologies will increase efficiency in the field,” Ferreira said.
