An active presence and a connection focused on positive impact at one of Latin America’s largest innovation hubs led Fundo Vale to win the award in the Corporate category

For the second consecutive year, Fundo Vale has been awarded Cubo Itaú Gold Certification in the Corporate category, underscoring its role as a leading driver of open innovation and positive social and environmental impact within Brazil’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. This certification highlights organizations that effectively strengthen innovation and the community as a whole.

“Being recognized by Cubo Itaú as a leader in engagement and networking, on critical issues such as innovation for the bioeconomy and the Amazon, reflects our commitment to working together and offering new opportunities to the ecosystem,” said Giovana Serenato of Fundo Vale’s Innovation Area.

“The challenges on the forest and climate agenda demand innovative solutions, qualified connections, and a long-term vision. In every partnership and project we support through Cubo Itaú, we demonstrate our commitment to strengthening connections for a new, fairer, more inclusive economy in harmony with the territories. I believe we are making increasing progress towards this goal, which makes us even more honored,” said Juliana Vilhena, Fundo Vale’s strategy, management and impact manager.

Ecosystem promotion: Investing to grow together

Fundo Vale secured the award in the “Ecosystem Promotion” category. The following criteria were evaluated:

  • Structure dedicated to innovation: governance prepared to support initiatives, partnerships and new impact business models;
  • Investment in ecosystem initiatives: financial and institutional support for actions to strengthen the innovation community, with a focus on forests, climate and the bioeconomy;
  • Support for multi-stakeholder projects: participation in structured projects that bring together different organizations, such as startups, companies, investors, communities and civil society organizations;
  • Proprietary activations: execution of proprietary activations and initiatives to bring the sustainable business community together, generating new connections, opportunities and learning around the Amazon and other social and environmental agendas.

This second recognition is the result of a sustained effort to activate the hub around the themes of the Amazon, bioeconomy and positive impact. This commitment is demonstrated through the sponsorship and curation of events, field immersions and inspirational moments like Amazon Day. Fundo Vale has also built a corporate community focused on showcasing and discovering local initiatives and bringing partners closer to the ecosystem—creating opportunities to experience the environment firsthand and identify innovative ways to operate.
