The Technology Challenge is an initiative organized by the Brazilian Micro and Small Enterprise Support Service (SEBRAE) and agricultural organization Faeb/Senar. Its purpose is to look for technological solutions that meet the basic requirements of the Sustainable Management Forest Inventory produced by the Southern Bahia Organic Farmers Cooperative (CABRUCA). The final heats took place on July 22 at the Chocolat Festival in Ilhéus, Bahia.
Fundo Vale sponsored the challenge. The three finalist startups were Sucupira Agroflorestas/Courageous Land, which is developing technologies to optimize the work of rural producers; Treevia, which integrates different stakeholders through its SmartForest system; and Busca Terra, which has developed an app that captures, synchronizes and stores field data about native trees, their coordinates, photos, videos and other environmental data such as light and temperature.
