The Alliance for Impact Investing and Businesses, an organization committed to positive social and environmental transformation, and whose strategic partners include Fundo Vale, will launch an online platform called “Investir com Impacto” (“Investing with Impact”) by October of this year.

The tool aims to help address the shortage of high-quality information about impact investment opportunities for people looking for ways to invest with purpose in Brazil. This information will be released to any interested party, and people will only have to give their contact details if they want to receive more information on the subject.

The platform will also offer educational content for those who want to know more about impact investing opportunities and it will present information about available impact investment funds, the main crowdfunding platforms and other opportunities available in the market. Thus, potential investors will be able to search for information and connect with those who offer investment opportunities.

The Alliance for Impact Investing and Businesses, which is supported by Fundo Vale, will be responsible for updating and maintaining the tool. To begin with, organizations will be invited to join the platform based on a previous mapping exercise of opportunities available in Brazil carried out by the Alliance.

A channel will also be made available to allow contact with other organizations offering impact financial products that want to join the platform. Interested organizations must meet three criteria: have an explicit thesis/objective of generating social and environmental impacts by supporting impact businesses in accordance with the Alliance’s criteria, while expecting to earn financial returns; have practices for measuring the impacts generated; and have practices for transparently disclosing information to investors and the public.
