NoCarbon, a brand belonging to Caaporã, ran a booth at Natural Tech, Latin America’s biggest trade show for natural products. The company produces certified zero carbon milk, cheese and fermented products, meaning that all greenhouse gas emissions generated in the production process are calculated and offset by planting native trees.

At its booth, NoCarbon exhibited its products, offered samples to taste and met with partners and customers, among the event’s 35,600 visitors from all Brazilian states and 24 other countries – a significant audience for the sector.

NoCarbon took the opportunity to make contact with potential clients (including Carrefour, Natural da Terra and Hortifruti) and suppliers, including a firm that makes organic fruit pulps that can be used to produce yogurts of different flavors reflecting Brazil’s biodiversity.

Company uses strategy of capturing excess carbon from atmosphere by planting trees

The company also participated in two presentations. The first, aimed at children, was about organic products. It featured a junior chef who made a dish using the firm’s products. The other presentation, in the venue’s “Knowledge Arena,” was about climate change and food.

Fundo Vale is one of NoCarbon’s main funders and it has always supported the initiatives run by this company, which uses a basic strategy to capture excess carbon from the atmosphere by planting trees. NoCarbon plants more than 9,000 trees of native species in the Atlantic Forest every year on the farm where it is based.
