The Agroforestry Innovation Symposium, the Bioeconomy Amazon Summit and Impacta Mais 2026 come together in May as a journey of knowledge and integration around agroforestry, the Amazon and the impact economy in Brazil

May arrives with a series of important events in the field of sustainable development. Over the course of the month, three gatherings will address research, on-the-ground practice and capital to drive more regenerative and inclusive solutions, as part of an agenda sponsored by Fundo Vale.

Below is an overview of each event:

1st Agroforestry Innovation Symposium, Piracicaba, São Paulo

The 1st Agroforestry Innovation Symposium focuses on advancing agroforestry systems in Brazil, bringing together science, field practice and innovation. Over the course of a one-day program, the event will foster high-quality dialogue among researchers, technical experts, producers and organizations, with an emphasis on real-world experiences, applied cases and discussions on the challenges and opportunities for scaling up agroforestry systems, their economic feasibility and their regenerative impact.

The event is organized by the Center for Agroforestry Studies and Innovation (CEIA), a Fundo Vale partner, and the agenda includes the launch of a report on agroforestry systems in Brazil, based on business experiences from Vale’s 2030 Forest Goal. The aim is to contribute to building more resilient and sustainable production systems grounded in up-to-date technical and scientific knowledge.

2026 Bioeconomy Amazon Summit, Belém, Pará

Created in 2023 by KPTL and KYVO, in cooperation with the UN Global Compact’s Brazilian Network, the Bioeconomy Amazon Summit has established itself as a hub bringing together science, traditional knowledge, the economy and corporate decision-making, with the Amazon bioeconomy at its core. The event is grounded in the understanding that there is no viable path to halting biodiversity loss without real changes in business models.

In Belém, the summit will take place at the Amazon Bioeconomy and Innovation Park, bringing together more than 60 institutions and initiatives to discuss sustainable finance, place-based innovation, value chains, reforestation, culture and other key topics. With Amazon-based entrepreneurs at the forefront, the event combines strategic content, business acceleration and hands-on experiences that demonstrate how the bioeconomy takes shape on the ground.

Date: May 12, 13 and 14, 2026
Location: Bioeconomy Park and Maria Sylvia Nunes Theater, Belém, Pará
